Her name, “Kushmanda,” is derived from three words: “Ku” (little), “Ushma” (energy), and “Anda” (egg), which signifies the cosmic egg. It is believed that she has the power to live inside the sun, thereby providing warmth and energy to all living beings.

Significance of Day 4: Goddess Kushmanda symbolizes creativity, vitality, and light. She is the embodiment of health, brightness, and strength. Worshipping her helps devotees to eliminate darkness from their lives and invoke light and positivity. She also symbolizes the power to foster new creations and bring prosperity.

Mantra to Chant: To invoke her blessings, devotees chant: “Om Devi Kushmandayai Namah.” Reciting this mantra helps to invoke her divine energy, ensuring good health and removing negativity.

Prasad of the Day: Pumpkin dishes are traditionally offered as prasad on this day. In addition, sweets made from jaggery are prepared and distributed to symbolize joy and sweetness in relationships.
